AMU Admissions through NTA CUET

The CUET results were released on September 15, 2022, as earlier announced by NTA. You must already know that the CUET cut-off and result list are prepared based on the CUET normalized score prepared by the authorities. 

Based on this list, counseling sessions will shortly begin for the students who applied at the AMU college for bachelor's courses through CUET UG 2022. 

AMU will use the Central University Entrance Test (NTA CUET) administered by NTA (National Testing Agency) for shortlisting students for admission to its various UG programs.

From the academic year 2022–23, admission to different courses at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will be done through the Central Universities Common Entrance Test as the union government has denied exceptions for AMU. The adoption of CUET for admissions will provide an equal opportunity for candidates across India and reduce the overall burden of attending various entrances as well.

Till 2021, admissions were based on the university-level Admission Test conducted by the Aligarh Muslim University. However, this changes from 2022 and going forward.

AMU Admission Procedure 2022 through CUET

Admission to various courses at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will be done through the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUET) 2022. As per the latest news, the adoption of CUET for students' admission will make the selection process even in terms of opportunity and demography.

AMU Admission: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed Intermediate(10+2) from CBSE or any other recognized board with English as one of the core subjects. 

• Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 60% in 10+2 qualifying examinations.
• Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examinations can also appear in CUET on a provisional basis.

AMU Admission: Application Process

The application window will be open in online mode in the month of April 2022. There will be a common registration process for UG, PG, and Ph.D. students. Here are the steps to filling out the CUET Application Form:

• Fill out the form to register as a new user on the official website by entering your personal information and logging in again to fill out the educational qualification, basic details, and communication information.
• The last step is uploading the required documents like photographs, signatures and paying the application fee in online or offline mode.
• Preview the form before submission and Make sure there are no errors
• Print the final submitted form for future reference

AMU Entrance: Exam Pattern

The examination authorities have not yet published a comprehensive CUET examination pattern consisting of specifics such as maximum marks, subjects, marking scheme, and duration of the examination. Taking into account the CUET examination, it is anticipated that the CUET will be somewhat similar to the exam pattern and marking scheme mentioned below:-

• There will be four sections in the examination, namely Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning, And Subject-specific test (to be chosen by the student while filling the form)
• There will be 100 multiple-choice questions to be solved in 120 minutes. 

The pattern followed previously is enlisted below. In the new CUET Exam Pattern, the number of questions shall vary.
