In the 159th academic meeting held on January 12, 2022, board of council at JNU decided to adopt the Common Universities Entrance Test administered by NTA (National Testing Agency) for shortlisting students for admission to various UG programs.
On September 16, 2022 the CUET results were finally published for nearly 9,68,201 students who took the exam this year. The CUET results has had nearly 20,000 candidates with 100 percentile across 30 subjects as per the data published by NTA.
JNU has seen 67,546 applications drop in through CUET exams for admission into various undergradute programs. Several top universities like DU, BHU, AMU etc have already begun the second phase of admission process through dedicated portal on their official websites.
JNU is yet to have its UG admission portal active and is expected to follow similar admission process like other top universities.

Delhi University, AMU etc have started their phase 2 admission process through a CSAS portal dedicated for UG admissions. Similarly, official notice from JNU states that the admission portal will be active shortly and accepts students to fill their application form along with the application fees.
Like other universities, the normalized CUET scores is taken to consideration to prepare the merit list based on which selected candidates will be called in for counselling process.

The day CUET results were published, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi's admission branch released a notice.
The notice starts that " On the release of CUET UG results, admission branch is processing data/details/result of candidates provided by NTA and shall open the portal shortyly."
The portal is will available on official website of JNU for students seeking admission in JNU to fill the application form by paying the corresponding admission processing fee.

A large proportion of Central Universities currently admits students on the basis of class 12 marks through CUET.
